Lake District walks - Lodore Falls

The path up the side of the Falls was badly affected by the storm in January 2005, and in May 2005 had still not been cleared. Quite an obstacle course - although passable, just about...

The Falls themselves. Although there was plenty of rain just before this date, the Falls were relatively empty and unspectacular, for reasons unknown. Normally, the cascade covers all the rocks from top to bottom, and it is really quite a sight. The second picture is from right at the bottom of the Fall, near to the Hotel; the first is from about 100 metres higher up, looking up at the top cascade in the first picture.

Now that's slightly better! This was after quite a lot of rain...
