Lake District walks - Brundholme Woods and the river Greta

There are two main tracks through the woods - a high one and one, which is probably more picturesque, much nearer to the level of the river Greta.

Here you can see across the Greta to Rakefoot and Walla Crag. Keswick is round the bend to the right.

The old and the new: this is the A66 viaduct to the east of Keswick - which caused fair amount of, er, discussion when built not so long ago. In my opinion, it fits in pretty well.
