Lake District walks - Castlehead

From the top of Castlehead you can see quite a panorama - except due north, where a tree unfortunately gets in the way. This picture shows the full length of Derwentwater on a lovely day in late May 2005

These six photos start looking due south, down Borrowdale; then south-west towards Catbells; then north-west over Keswick and Bassenthwaite Lake. Pictures 4 and 5 show the views east over Rakefoot and Walla Crag. The last picture looks down the eastern side of Derwentwater.







You don't have to get to the top of Castlehead to get a good view!  These are the woods on a sunny May afternoon.
