Lake District walks - Bowscale Fell

Here is the start to the longer walk. Mungrisdale is hidden down in the fold between The Tongue, in the centre of the picture, and Souther Fell, on the right. You can see the path leading up to the top of Bannerdale Crags, from where this picture was taken.

Here is the start to the gentler walk, up the northern side of Bowscale, with Carrock Fell in view throughout on the right.

Here we are looking up to the escarpment which forms the top plateau of Bowscale Fell. The tarn is to the right, in a bowl.

This is Bowscale Tarn. You can see the path to the top cutting diagonally across the picture.
